The Nu-Hope belts are worth the extra money. I use both the "summer"
and wider belts depending upon my mood. As to the concern about being
stiff I do not find that to be the case.

I have found that the wider belt will double up on occasion. But none
the less I have several of both versions and every year get a new set
of both in addition to a Hollister elastic.

Good luck.
