From: edfasula on 20 May 2008 12:28 hi, i broke the small vertical outboard bone in my ankle but it stayed pretty much together. I walked on it and drove my motorcycle to the emergency room so it seems to be stable. they gave me an aircast walking boot. one doctor told me to put no weight on it for 1 week, another said 2. how do i know when it's safe? what about taking the aircast off? can i sleep with it off? what about just sitting on the sofa? when my pain is in control, i'm tempted to flex my ankle back and forth to keep it limber but the doctor told me that cab interfere with the healing. just like walking on it, i'm wondering if there is a safe point to flex it. i want to get back on my feet asap, so i'll do whatever is best. i just have the guidance of the e-room doctor and the gp, though. any help will be greatly appreciated. by the way, i was told a tablespoon a day of ground sesame seed is a great source of calcium. i'm also taking boron. It's been 5 days. I'm still icing it sometimes, the swelling is not too bad. ed
