From: Michelle C on 5 Oct 2008 14:30 I can drink an 8 oz glass of tomato or V-8 juice without problem. Just check it with your meter. Tomato products give some people problems and others are fine with them. -- Best regards, Michelle C., T2 diet & exercise BMI 21.5 "A R Pickett" <WOODeSTOCKe(a)PReODIeGY.eNET> wrote in message news:Pb7Gk.2123$Rx.713(a)flpi144.ffdc.sbc.com... >I have foresworn fruit juices - is tomato juice also not recommended? > > -- > A R Pickett aka Woodstock > > T2 - 1500 mg metformin > 10 mg glyberide > > "Sometimes the facts threaten the truth" > Amos Oz, prize winning Israeli author > > Read my book reviews at: > http://www.booksnbytes.com/reviews/_idx_ws_all_byauth.html > > Now blogging! > http://www.journalscape.com/woodstock/ > > Remove lower case "e" to respond > >

I usually have it for a treat when I have breakfast out at one of those places that give you juice, toast, potatoes and coffee with your eggs. I aask for tomato juice (and it's usually a small glass) no potatoes , lettuce adn tomeatos if no extra charge or just lettuce, adn only one piece of whole wheat or whole grain (whichever they have) toast. I usually have this every three months after I have had my 3 month check-up with my endocrinologist and have been fasting. It is a treat I look forward to:-) I do use tomato juice or tomato paaste reconstituted with 3 cans of water (les salt) when I make my gazpacho souup adn it doesn't spike me. For breakfast I now use the Crysttal Light sunrice Classic Orange with no sugar, no calories, adn a reasonable flavor. If I had been on your cruse I might well have had the tomato juice at breakfast as a four-day treat. Wendy
