From: misha on 16 Jan 2006 19:28 I am new to this, but I need help with something. I got on my treadmill the other day, and when I place my feet to walk the belt gets stuck. I assume I need to put some lubricant on it as I haven't since I bought it two years ago. My problem is it requires Performant Lube, which isn't cheap and comes in a very small tube. I have read some negative things from people and am wondering if there is an alternative lube I can use on it. DOes anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use and where to get it? Thanks. -- misha

There probably is an alternative but without knowing wqhat's in what they say is required, you can't do much. I notice that the quantity is small and that may be why they want you to buy it that way. Most people tend to overlubricate. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000EIF9S/qid=1137463061/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-1451302-4290423?v=glance&s=sporting-goods&n=507846 has it for 9.95 and if you buy $25.00 worth, shipping is free. Note that the site has a couple of reviews and one indicates you may have a loose belt. |
