From: anonymous on 17 Sep 2008 08:51 Thanks everyone for your comments. I guess I will get a better handle when I can think of one. Lots of good advice to read over again. I see my general practioner today for the first time in 4 years which will be nice. The specialists have booked me for lots of tests, bone marrow etc. I read in a book that one should tell people like in an email at work so people who know something or suspect something don't start talking and everybody coming up to you and asking how long do you have to live, etc. So the email would be something like: I have just been diagnosed with x. If you see me leaving work early or arriving late, it is not because I have slept in or I am sneaking out early, it will be because I have come from or are going for testing or treatments. Any thoughts on this? Good idea? Bad idea? Thanks for being there.
