Just call me Rudolph.

So, it's embarrassing because by the end of the evening (usually after
9 pm) I always look like I've been celebrating the end of the day with
a little somethin'

I don't drink but about once every four or five months.

It's primarily my big ol' German nose though the rest of my face feels
warm much of the time, just not red. Not a rash so much as just
inflammation of the vessels I guess. Rosacea-like. But it's gone by
a.m. after a night's rest. no UV exposure other than the teeny tiny
amount from lighting in the house. No fluorescents in the bedroom
where I seem to spend most of my time these days (sitting in bed
working on laptop).

Interesting thing is my nose runs constantly but tends to "dry up"
toward evening. So it's like I'm trading one thing for another. During
the day, drippy nose and entire tissue boxes being used, no red nose.
At night, no tissues, red nose.

Autoimmune disease is one of the weirdest things to deal with!

So, um. Hi everyone. Don't know if anyone really posts much these days
but hello anywho.

Other than the bright shiny nose, all is well. Heart meds still
working. Dog still perfect. Hubby still almost perfect. :) Ditto kids.
School going well.

OH - and by the way, my intent here is not to get an explanation but
to find out if anyone else has this little annoying jewel of a
problem.

The dripping all day I can totally relate to...

your jewel of a 'nose' problem LOL, sorry
your 'ruby' of a nose problem...
ahem...
your nose issue, I just do NOT get
at all nor have I seen nor heard of it prior...
but, could it be from rubbing it all day with those tissues?
I mean it hasn't happened here YET..... but it could for sure...
the inside gets all red and sore....
so why not the whole darn thing, German or Scottish ?!
wishing you nothing but good thoughts and wishes for a non ruby nose....
how bout some ruby slippers instead?
Just think!
you could whisk yourself off to Oz and escape it all !!
autoimmune disease and nose and all!!
well, you could take along the perfect mutt and the almost perfect BFF....
that'd be up 2 U of course LOL!
hugs,
Shelagh
....still hanging around, wondering if anyone will ever come back... <sigh>
but you can call me 'thomas'...

It feels hot - It *feels* just like I have been drinking (my nose does
that is). One reason I rarely drink is because I do get the bright red
nose when I do that. I can't imagine why it would wait until 9 or 10
pm to suddenly flame up red when I've been sniffling since 8 a.m. But
who knows.

I looked for web fora but wasn't drawn to any particular one. They
tend to be regional except for the LFA forum which may be a bit more
spread out - hard to tell.

Well, the nose is shaped like a German nose, but the skin is
definitely Scot-Irish.

Could it be a side-effect of a medication? Have you changed brand, and
are getting the same drug but with different fillers?

Allergy to something that's recently changed in your house?
