From: newpuppyproblems on 24 May 2008 02:13 I have two puppies from the same litter. They are both male and one seems to be the dominant puppy. the last day or so my dominant puppy has been very mean to the other puppy. today they were fighting and would not let go of each other. they had a death grip on each other. I am worried that they are no longer just playing what do you think I should do?

I tied them apart for a few minutes and then took each for a walk. I was at a loss for what to do. franky it scarred me a little not for my safety but for the smaller puppies safety. -- Message posted via PetKB.com http://www.petkb.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/pet-loss/200805/1

And it appears Pup #2 is holding his own. Let it work itself out. If the viciousness continues for more than a week, or starts to heighten, get to a vet or several for advice. And remember, in the puppy world, you're the pack leader; they'll normally defer to you.
