WS, I have been wondering for quite some time about Shawn. I've had my
suspicions, but been hoping they were off. Have you heard something
about him? I try to look in here often, but I know it is possible I've
missed some news.

Hi Dwight,
Just to let you know, Russ Tanner (Sourdo) and I were talking about Shawn
last night over an excellent dinner at a local restaurant. Russ is headed
south to see his parents in the Seattle area and decided to take the route
through the Kootenays in BC on the way. The only link I had with Shawn's
situation was through Elmo, and he has not yet answered my latest e-mail.
Last time I talked with Elmo about him, it seems that Shawn had fired up a
car and driven to Panama and back as a kind of salute to freedom and will,
while he still had the stamina to do so. It might be an idea for me to
phone Elmo tonight to see what's shaking. Will let you guys know. Russ
says hello and apologizes to WS for taking the inland route between Alaska
and Washington. He retired two months ago. Laid back, enjoying.

Thanks for the info. Tell Elmo to send me an email so we can talk about
things non-medical like guitars. I'm headed down to Austin, Texas in a
few hours to spend the day playing with a group of friends there. Elmo,
Russ, and Shawn got me into playing again while I was going through tx
the last time. Best thing I ever did, helped me focus on something other
than tx. Once again thanks for the information.
