I have trouble with SSRIs myself in that they make me very drowsy--I
sleep all day. By BZD, I assume you mean benzodiazepines--I would have
suggested Klonopin ( clonazepam is the generic name ). You don't say
what country you are from, but it could be the case that Nardil ( brand
name ) is known by a different name in your country. The generic name is
phenelzine--check for Nardil under that name in your country. Nardil is
an MAOI, and MAOIs are the oldest class of anti-depressants. I don't
know of anything else off the top of my head. I should no longer take
Nardil since I have coronary artery disease and take _many_ medications
for that--the drug interactions are unknown. And SSRIs are out for me.
My only option is clonazepam, so I understand what you are going
through. Let us know what you find. We're here to try to help.

good luck,
SBZ

Also check http://www.mentalhealth.com/drug/p30-n01.html#Head_3 for
other MAOIs. Read about contraindications there.

There are interactions with a few over-the-counter medications AND most
meds. that mess with serotonin. For exmaple:

"Allow at least 5 weeks between discontinuation of fluoxetine and
initiation of phenelzine, and at least 10 days between discontination of
phenelzine and initiation of fluoxetine."

fluozetine = prozac, an SSRI
