From: Cactus Jammies on 1 Feb 2008 13:29 Cody, I took a calculated risk. I knew I had gallstones, as discovered on the ultrasound I got four years ago. I went ahead anyway and started the tumeric. Taking Reishi also requires an functionin gall bladder. I think generally you're OK for this if your stools are normal in texture and colour. (not constantly runny nor light grey). Good for you on the 'roids outcome. cactus jammies "Cody" <mpcody(a)removethisgmail.com> wrote in message news:Deooj.8605$wa6.6329(a)news.ono.com... > Cactus Jammies wrote: >> Cody, !Mui Importante! >> If you have gall bladder > > Not that I know of. > >> or bile problems > > Ditto. > >> you shouldn't be taking it, at least as I describe it. A herbal store? Does it have a scientific name or is "Reishi" the scientific name? From: Cactus Jammies on 1 Feb 2008 14:19 Hi Cody, Google Reishi Mushroom extract. It is a fairly common Chinese supplement. We live in a small town and the pharmacies have it in stock. I take mine in capsule form. It comes in liquid form, as well. Reishi is the Japanese name. It is derived from the small fungus that grows on the sides of deciduous trees. This is the product I use: http://www.wholehealthproducts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=213 I also get my milk thistle from these folks. Prices over on this side of the Atlantic are the best I've been able to find. The pharmacies tend to prohibitively expensive. I think you would be well advised to get hold of a copy of the 'Herbs for Hepatitis C and the Liver' by Stephen Harrod Buhner, if you can. It should be available in the EU. hope this helps cactus jammies -------------------------------- "Cody" <mpcody(a)removethisgmail.com> wrote in message news:ryooj.9791$Hi.4286(a)news.ono.com... > Cactus Jammies wrote: >> Cody, >> I took a calculated risk.
