From: AC on 27 Oct 2005 16:51 I have a question. I live in the USA but I am Canadian. Here at WW I enquired about the lifetime membership requirements and what the weight restrictions were. I was told that you cannot go over by 2 lbs of your goal weight and as long as you don't go UNDER the weight goal RANGE then you are fine. Well that would mean at a goal weight of 150.. I could go as high as 152 and as low as 124! Ok.. still following me? LOL My cousin attends WW in Canada and they told her you can only go 2 lbs over OR 2 lbs under!! so.. I would like to know if that is true? and why would it be any different from the USA to CAnada?

A lot of people set their goal high, and then lose another 5kg or so to give them some buffer. I can't help you with the Canadian requirements! -- Julie. 93.5/73.6/74 (WW)/72 (Personal) kg 205.7/161.9/162.8 (WW)/158 (Personal) lb Here's our FAQ: http://www.didian.com/asdww/ and welcome notice: http://www.geocities.com/welcomenotice/index.html
From: AC on 27 Oct 2005 16:59 thanks Julie.. that is the same here.. wonder why Canada is telling them differently.. according to my cousin.. one of her friends went 10 lbs under goal and got reprimanded and told she needed to eat more! which I can understand..but I still don't get why they would have a different set of rules.. WW is WW isn't it? LOL Angel

If you go over 2 lbs. you just have to pay the meeting fee, but if you get back within the two pounds, you are free again. Since you only have to weigh once a month it gives you a lot of time to get back to goal. Audrey

I understand all that.. that wasn't my concern or question.. it was why such a discrepancy between the US and Canada? Angel .. Since you only have > to weigh once a month it gives you a lot of time to get back to goal. > Audrey |
