From: Jessica Marie on 14 Apr 2006 13:42 Shelley! WOW! That was a mouthful! HMO's, SSI & SSDI are extremely oeverwhelming to try to get benefits. As long as you have a "shrink" (M.D>PSY) & are of legal age in your state................just go backwards on these posts & start out w/ all the info I was sending "the loner" Any specific questions, feel free to e-mail me (daisyweaver(a)gmail.com) See what we can do, eh? What you described as far as S&S; you have an "Anxiety Disorder" which is legit for applying.. The paperwork will be awesome, but if you want it, we can do it together & maybe even "the loner" can share some stories (eh?)................hugs, Jessica Marie
From: Liberty on 14 Apr 2006 15:33 Hi Shelley, pleased to meet you. ((hugs)) You are not alone now you are talking to us. This is a very quiet group. I am hoping to liven it up but people dont always want to talk. I am in UK and we cant get benefits for anxiety here well I cant anyway. You have to prove so many things here. And be tested and tested for incapacity benefit and in order to prove that you have to go miles away to hospitals and be tested which for an agoraphobic is pretty impossible. I read with interest about other countries being able to get benefits for this. I hope you are successful. I'm sure Jessica/Daisy can advise you. Thank you for your advice, I'm currently looking for a psychologist that will take a charity case. Once I get that I'll look into benefits. I was hoping maybe some one knows about treatment centers that might take a charity case. I think my current residence may be fueling the problem. Any suggestions you could give would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows of legit jobs that can be done at home, most I've looked into say they require money upfront which I don't have plus I was told that if they ask for money it is just a lie. Thank you for relping to my query. Shelley |
