From: Backyard on 18 Aug 2005 16:42 is anyone else out there homeschooling their dyslexic child. My daughter just turned 10 and I am using something called "Spelling Power" but doesn't like it. I just started homeschooling her this week for the first time. Any advice, comments would be great.
From: Ben on 24 Aug 2005 14:55 I am so sorry that you did not get a reply. In the past there was always a quick reply in this news group. Perhaps the group master is on vacation The reason I am replying to this is, that I was also very curious what the answer would be. For I am helping out in a small Christian school, where there is a boy who is very dyslectic and his parents do not want to hear about it. They say that he is not motivated. I am helping him in reading, but I myself, have also some problems with dyslexia So, a good answer to your question might be helpful to me to Ben "Backyard" <123ttt(a)sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:1124397756.440450.139580(a)g49g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > is anyone else out there homeschooling their dyslexic child. Any advice, comments would be great. i take it she has been tested for dysexica? what areas is she weak there? your in the states so others would be better placed about advice as to organasiations to contact etc. but the most importantly keep it fun, and in short doeces, and make sure she ajeives, its very very hard to keep motivated to do some thing when you keep failing.
