Hi. Here's an update on my quest for a gf ham -- I was experiencing a
deep need for a ham sandwich. Hormel's and Pillars were suggested.
Couldn't find Hormel, but here in Ontario, there is a great variety of
Pillars meats. Their site was suggested and it has a great gf list,
including ham and many other sliced meats. Thanks!
The ham sandwiches have been great!

Glad you could find the Pillers. Their site is great for people looking for
allergen info! Everything listed in plain site, no obscure searching. . . if
only it was always so easy!

The only Ham I've ever found with gluten IN IT has been ham with
breadcrumbs on the outside. All other ham I know about, certainly in
the UK, is straight cooked pig, cut into slices. I thought that's
what ham WAS.

Pigs are gluten free...

They are GF before they are honey basted, smoked (the fast way with
flavoring agents) or otherwise enhanced. Processed ham can have all sorts
of things added to it, including gluten.

Lunch meat in the US often contains modified food starch, sugar, high
fructose corn syrup and other stuff.
