From: CJudo on 10 Jun 2006 03:27 Hi, I just found this group. I was diagnosed with IBS only a week ago after almost (a relatively short but seemingly endless) 3 months of having mysterious symptoms interfere greatly with my everyday life. I have been obliged to not attend my classes and church functions because of what I now know as irritable bowel syndrome. I was somewhat miffed at the diagnosis of IBS because it confused me. Aside from the constipation, occasional diarrhea, stomach/abdominal pain, I have had other symptoms which confuse me and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced them: headaches, extreme fatigue/weakness, aching, dysurria, nausea, lightheadedness/dizzyness. These symptoms have been the ones for me which are the most irksome and interfering. If anyone can relate or explain any part of this to me, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Did a complete look at upper and lower GI rule out all other possibilities such as Ulcerative Colitis etc.? Sometimes IBS becomes an 'easy out' when there's nothing else obvious. 2. Everyone's symptoms are different and there are some overlaps between IBS and other dysfunctions reaching out even to a few folks with Migraine. Some symptoms can be correlated with IBS and some can't. I'm one of the rare males who suffers from low back pain as I go through an IBS-A cycle. Big point is to make sure the IBS diagnosis was well researched and that you are completely 'satisfied' with it. ....Lmac
