From: dtsyorkshire ltd on 17 Apr 2005 07:18 sorry i don't know how to use this news group format - but i came across this news of a flushable ostomy pouch available in march from an american company called marlin, it looks as though they are using convatec technology. does anyone know of this product?

It was NOT a disposable pouch exactly. What it was was a pouch LINER that could be thrown away. It had to be fit inside a regular pouch. It pains me to even THINK of what my arthritic hands would go through when I can't even open a new garbage bag! <lol>. AFAIK, there are no actual ostomy bags that are totally flushable. Remember years ago when disposable diapers were marketed as "flushable". Well, they weren't, either. ;-Deano
