I once knew a chap who recording, on a cassette tape, a long spiel about
how he didn't want double glazing because he'd heard that they were
going to re-introduce window tax, and that he was thinking of having
his windows bricked up to save money. The full version lasted nearly
ten minutes.

If the double glazing people rang, he just hit `play' on the cassette
recorder and left the tape talking to the phone.

(he lived in a leased flat in a listed building with curved windows that
he wasn't allowed to replace with anything at all - he'd've *liked*
double glazing, if only...)

Rowland.

I would be the one choosing to telephone. You would be the one choosing
to refuse to lift the receiver.

No, but you would be the one choosing to not lift the receiver unless
I've not blocked the number - the decision to refuse to receive the call
would be made by you, not by me.

That would be my choice.

But it would be your choice to refuse to lift the receiver if I rang -
your choice to turn down the offer of a call.

Rowlie doesn't know how to be responsible.
