My girlfriend's ex is Chinese and he moved back to China. I think
he's a dual citizen. Is there a way to collect child support from
him? They were divorced here in the U.S. with child support required
in the decree. I would assume collecting it now would be a very long
and tedious process, especially considering the fact it's China we're
talking about. Its just sad that he can run back to a country
experiencing extreme economic growith and become a millionaire while
his son is here suffering financially.

The ex should go ahead and file in court for contempt. It won't get
her anything while he is in China, but it might get the father "on the
list" so that the next time he tries to enter the USA, they will throw
his butt in jail and force him to pay what has been ordered.

I do not know the details of the divorce, but if the court has ordered
support, then so be it unless he has good reason not to pay.

Maybe your girlfriend needs to bust her behind and support her
child...

You're very correct, America has become a 3rd world country with very
little opportunity left for it's citizens!
The working poor will continue to slave away to support the wealthy.

I'm surprised as a woman you would make such a rude and insensitive
statement. Plus aren't most people in the U.S. nowdays busting their
butt to support their family? Maybe you assume my gf is just a lazy,
drinking, irresponsible sloth who sits around collecting welfare and
food stamps but sorry you're wrong.

My girlfriend has raised her son for 11 years on her own, and is
diligintly saving so she can send him to M.I.T. She is paying for him
to go to private classes on weekends to further his education and
prepare him for college entrance exams. Do you think this is easy on
one income with no help from the father?
