Added benefit is that I can use a local outlet. bj

Added benefit is that I can use : a local outlet. : bj I do that too, even in NYC. there is a Kmart in the building where my son works(over Penn Station) so he is able to get my 3 month refils of 360 500mg pills of Metformin and my generic amaryl for $15 each for 3 months and it doesn't count towards my getting into th edonut hole in the Medicare part D. Even though my plan is better than most, giving you a 40% discount there instead of none at all, thi is even cheaper than getting the prescription through the mail order part of the plan during the regular 25% copay period. I wonder if they will carry Ramapril, which now is generic and about half the price it was on brand as Altace. Does anyone know when Lipitor is expected to go generic? I have been taking it for ove 12-13 years now and it was not brand new when I was put on it. That I buy in 40 mg doses and split the pills as the price is identical per pill for 20 mg and 40mg. My endo is glad to write me the 40 mg presciption so I only have to buy it twice a year. this is another way to keep drug costs down. Wendy
