I would love any input on brown bagging it.I'm in a car all day, so I
don't have access to a microwave.

I have been averaging eating in a restaurant for lunch at least 3
times a week. I KNOW there are hidden calories that keeps packing the
weight on.

First - make it an insulated brown bag so you can keep things cool or warm.
I know this sounds silly, but you *can* warm a sandwich (not cook it!) on
your dash with the defroster on. Yogurt, fruits, veggies, wraps, 100-
calorie servings of this and that (prepackaged or packaged by you), tomato
juice, etc. etc. etc.

I make a three point sandwich, two slices of bread that are 1 pt and two
ounces of protein varying turkey, chicken, ham. I use spinach leaves on
the sandwich and a very low cal spread such as mustard, a bit of hummus
or a Greek dip. Take a sugar free jello or a fat free sugar free
pudding, fresh fruit, veggies such as carrots or celery, a 2 point bag
of cookies or chips or a 2 point bar. I think those insulated square
lunch bags are marvelous because you can pack a lot of stuff in them.
The important thing is to have variety so you are not bored. You can
also do great lettuce wraps or wraps in a high fiber low pt. tortilla.
Freeze grapes or cherries and let them defrost a bit during the day.
They will be cold and yummy. Frozen berries or cherries work well too.

Yikes - rather you than me. Sounds like a recipe for all sorts of
bacterial problems.

A piping hot flask of soup might be a solution, but I don't think I'd
like to eat cheese sandwages that have been cooling down slowly for 5
hours.

I am trying to think of a suggestion for you... I know I would drink
water... and maybe order a salad with the dressing on the side so I
could dip my fork in it before stabbing the salad. If they had a grilled
chicken on the menu I would order it without the bun and maybe some
honey mustard on the side.
The brown bag idea.... I would try one of those cooler bags so I could
take some typically cool food. like maybe chicken salad mixed with my
ingredients like lite mayo and maybe honey mustard (i love that stuff)
veggies in it like celery and maybe then lettuce and tomato slice and
one a 7 grain bread... or without bread is good. I would definately take
lots of water bottles or at least know where to go to find some... I
drink water all day long. Pieces of fruit is also good to take. Anyway
good luck finding what works for you and let us know what you come up
with maybe we will need a suggestion for a lunch too!
