From: rayzer on 3 May 2006 08:38 Hi Guys, just wandering what is the best anti anxiety medication in your opinion. I have severe generalized anxitey disorder. My main fear is what the future has instore. My mind is constantlyracing and every thought becomes a negative thought which then generates my anxiety. I have tried CBT but it doesnt seem to work. What medicines can help ease my tension and help stop my negative thoughts?

Had to stop taking it when it no longer helped the depression - and all I had left were the side effects. Effexor did effect my short term memory and ability to do simple arithmetic -- lost a job as a cashier because my register was always too far off.) But I don't have PTSD or panic disorder - does it help with panic disorder too? -- maryjane
