From: From Bob on 22 Apr 2008 22:02 Prisdella, i had atrial fibrillation the first time 6 - 7 years ago, was treated with coumadin, amiodarone, and attenol, and was fine. Have been on the atenolol 50mg, twice a day since then and was doing well. Two weeks ago i went back into atrial fibrillation, the atenolol is no longer working, currently for past 2 weeks on coumadin and Toprol 200mg XL, and for the past week also on Amiodarone 600 mg a day. So far not working, still in fibrillation and very scared. Here is a link for abolation, which i have been thinking about, but it is very invasive ?? http://www.hrspatients.org/patients/treatments/cardiac_ablation.asp Please let me know your situation either directly or through this group. Would like to hear of the experiences of any others on atrial fibrillation. |
