Thanks for your reply Sue.

I did some research and what I have is ulnar nerve entrapment or compression
from sleeping with my arms bent at the elbow.

I've now done my best to sleep with arms in a straighter position for the
past few days and the symptoms of numbness and tingling are almost
completely gone.
