From: Q on 26 Sep 2008 12:48 Hi Everyone I regularly read the posts here, but haven't posted anything myself for quite a while, because I've had nothing to report. I wondered whether anyone was using ALA to help in reducing the possibility of glycated products wreaking havoc? I've found references to ALA being potentially useful in this field, although it doesn't appear to have much effect on blood glucose, just reducing the harmful effects of the AGEs. I'd be interested to hear if anyone is trying this and if they have anything to report. Stew T2 ~3 years (slim build, active) BP OK No tabs, controlled by diet & exercise, but started taking benfotiamine tabs 80mg vegitabs, 1 or 2 daily 6 months ago. I tried using it for a couple of months, but it had no apparent effect on my BG readings so I stopped. Stopping had no apparent effect either. -- Duncan Heenan
