No, I could probably stop taking Xanax altoghether, it's probably just a
psychological dependece now. I plan to in time to stop taking Xanax, but
I'm not sure that will work. My doctor thinks that I should stop
altogether, but he says he will not force me, I can have 1.5 mg/day as
long as a see fit.

I tried taking 1 mg Xanax (not Depot), and it had absolutely no effect
on me.

When I was taking Xanax in 2003 I had to ween myself off it due to
withdrawal symptoms (mainly rebound anxiety). I have Xanax now but I
rarely take it anymore.

I am planning to lower the dose very slowly, take away 0.5 mg per month
or so. I have started to remove the midday dose every other day. Seems
to be working
