No, it is not. A diabetic will die without insuline, I am still alive!

And you sir, are an idiot. Your thought process must be around a -10.

So, do you still get any benefit from Xanax when you are using it at 0.5
mg/day? Or do you stay on it because it's too tough to get down to not using
it at all?

Interesting. So what do the doctors say when you tell them that you have to
increase the dose beyond 4 mg/day? Do they say that benzos will (in your
case) not work long term, so you might as well taper off them completely? Or
what do they suggest?

Also, after having tapered down Xanax, do you nowadays get the same benefit
from 0.5 mg/day as you did from 10 mg/day before?

I'm just curious since I'm considering going on benzos long term, beacuse
it's the only thing I've found that works in my case. However, I'm a bit
afraid of ending up in a situation like yours, where I have to increase the
dose and finally end up in a situation where I have to keep taking the drug
without getting any benefit from it.

Xanax did not work for me even at 10 mg/day, I still had severe anxiety
so I just had to try something else. And Cipralex worked very well for
me, after five weeks. Those weeks were hell, but it was worth it in the end.

It's 1.5 mg/day (3*0.5 mg/day, my mistake), and I get more benefit now
than when I had 10 mg/day.

Great to hear that Cipralex works fine for you! But how come you still have
to take some Xanax as well? Is the Xanax needed in combination with Cipralex
to combat your anxiety?

Ok. So how does one know when to stop increasing the dose? I mean, if you
would increase your dose to 3 mg/day now you would probably feel better for
awhile, but then after some time that additional benefit would fade away,
right? Also, what would happen if you would go down to e.g. 0.5 mg/day now?
Do you think you'd initially feel worse, but then after some time you would
feel just as you do on 1.5 mg/day now?
