From: guys on 27 Jun 2008 20:15 When I have to use a larger Humalog injection I fear that the insulin will be acting above a certain level longer My thoughts are based on the volume and surface area of an injected sphere. I do worry that may have resulted in a few of my 911 runs. Technical people, does my thoughts have any validity?. ----== Posted via Pronews.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.pronews.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! >100,000 Newsgroups ---= - Total Privacy via Encryption =---

I know nothing about insulin Guy, but I sincerely hope you get it figured out and that your 911 runs are few and far between. Take care, and have a good weekend. Cheri

I know the way My hypo issue will end and I intend to postpone it as long as possible. Just to be mean. I am just too nosey about the developing issues. I love to tell some, "I told you so". So many opportunities to do that now. Where the eyes used to be arrogant, now I see fear. Have to say "All of my money went to doctors, I can't help you. That is true. ----== Posted via Pronews.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.pronews.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! >100,000 Newsgroups ---= - Total Privacy via Encryption =---
From: cadcoke4 on 29 Jun 2008 18:18 I have had similar thoughts. But, in my case it has been when my blood sugar was high, and I was about to eat a meal. Rather than postpone the meal, I have attempted to increase the absorbtion rate by giving half of my injection of regular insulin in one spot, and half in another. The rational being that I would be increasing the area of absorbtion. However, I've only tried it twice, and can't really say if there was any change. Joe

Now I am so tired of this disease and I do not do much anymore. At one time the results allowed me to actually be alive today. I did receive a lot help from the MHD people. I wish if functioned today. I guess diabetes gets boring and age catches up. ----== Posted via Pronews.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.pronews.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! >100,000 Newsgroups ---= - Total Privacy via Encryption =---
