Wooooohoooooooo!! Good news. But I must tell you that you have made a big mistake. YOU'RE NOT OFF TOPIC!!! ;-) Here is the original posting of the charter for this newsgroup. The person who got this newsgroup created, Rachael Munns <vashti(a)dream.org.uk>, never posted here. ======================================================================= Newsgroups: uk.people.support.depression uk.net.news.config uk.net.news.announce Followup-To: uk.net.news.config uk.people.support.depression Subject: Charter for uk.people.support.depression From: Richard Letts <control(a)usenet.org.uk> Date: 19 Feb 1999 22:42:01 -0000 Organization: A Good Idea(tm) This is the initial charter for the newsgroup uk.people.support.depression as issued in the newgroup message. For further information on the newsgroup creation process in the UK and current charters please look at http://www.usenet.org.uk/ Richard Letts control(a)usenet.org.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- uk.people.support.depression Advice, support and chat for depressed people. CHARTER; uk.people.support.depression uk.people.support.depression is a group for giving and receiving advice and support relating to depression, from a UK-based perspective. "Support" includes general chat. People who are or think they might be depressed are welcome, as are their friends, family, and others who may have an interest in the subject. ADVERTISING: Advertising is forbidden. FORMATTING: All posts must be made in plain text. Other types of formatting, including HTML and "business cards" or vcards, are forbidden. Please note that this does not prevent the inclusion of URL and email addresses. BINARIES: With the explicit exception of cryptographic signatures, all encoded binaries are forbidden. Forbidden binaries include, but are not limited to: pictures, sounds, word processor documents and executable programs. Please respect the fact that oversized binary attachments are generally considered unwelcome in netnews. Cryptographic signatures should be kept as small as possible (in other words, don't use a huge key when a smaller one will suffice), and should be used only when necessary. Many news servers filter out articles that exceed a certain number of lines of binary encoding. It is in the interests of posters to keep cryptographic signatures as small as possible.
