Hi friends,
Anyone on the group know where I can get size 13 extra wide mens shoes from
in Manchester or Tameside please?
I've been in so many shops and been told so many times that they only stock
up to size 11 or 12, my little leggies are falling off!!!
Hope some kind soul can point me in the right direction :)

Shoe shops can be pretty terrible if you have 'non-standard' (aka
normal) feet. I find that shops that sell more than just shoes are
usually the only places to go, department stores and the like. M&S and
the Co-Op can be pretty good for the unpopular sizes. You might like to
look at buying shoes from a specialist shop on the internet. Of course
once you find a pair that fit buy at least two (pairs) so you won't be
caught short again.

Several of my friends who have the extra stability that wider feet allow
swear by the Doc Martens brand.

Finding a pair of shoes that fit regardless of style can be a nightmare
sometimes.

Bastian. (Size 10 1/2 extra wide)

Cheers Bastian - it's looking more and more like I might have to order from
the net. I wish the NHS still did diabetic shoes through the podiatry guys
:(
All the best,
Karen in Droylsden

my podiatrist recommended Ecco shoes for diabetic feet and wide fittings.
Several shops in the Trafford Centre sell them.
