From: Robert DeSavage on 27 Jun 2007 09:28 Haven't seen any activity here for some time. Hoping that all are holding their own and feeling well as a result. Going to be hotter than blazes here around Bwastun. Needless to say, be careful when venturing outside and keep hydrated (liquid type optional <G>) BOB

Busy growing an herb garden, and a few other projects.. Read a very interesting book that I'm recommending to everyone: "Zen And The Art Of Happiness" by Chris Prentiss It's written from a Zen Buddhist prospective, but isn't preachy or trying to "convert" anyone. But he offers some guidelines on how to deal with 'bad situations', and how to turn them into positive experiences. It mirrors my own beliefs and experience, and can help anyone (In my opinion) who gets hit with something bad (like SD) and yet be happy. cheers! dave -- A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. -Mark Twain

Been taking a few trumpet lessons and applying the art of Zen to my playing. It really makes a difference where even though I'm pushing 63, I'm already planning my 90th birthday party where I'm going to play "Happy Birthday" and burn my tushie off doing it. All here are invited. Hmm! Herbal garden???? I can think of a few herbs I'd like to grow in my garden that might aid SD victims. But my next door neighbor is one of my town's "finest" ;-)

But my next door neighbor is one of my town's "finest" ;-) Wonderful! A bit of continuing education is a wonderful idea. And the b-day party sounds like a hoot. I'm up for it! I'm not growing any interesting herbs at the present time, but only because I don't have any source for seed. ;-) And my garden is on my deck, and nosy neighbors have already asked me about it.. haha dave -- A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. -Mark Twain
