I use a walker and will need a power operated wheelchair; I might be able to
hold out for the rest of the year.

Does anyone know of any organizations in this area that might let me take a
"supervised test drive" in my house for about 20 minutes?

My hands are getting weaker and I don't know how well I'll be able to turn
the thing. Even if it has handle bars, I'll still need to get a model that
fits the house.

Any ideas, suggestions...?

Why are your hands getting weaker, are you an amputee? If you are then you
have entered a world of extreme self discipline and pain, you cannot allow
yourself to become overweight, do not look for more ways to become
overweight. You lost that right with your limb. work, watch what you eat.
Amputee life is hard, fact of life.

No, I'm not an amputee I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease,

I'm 52 and have had it all my life. I am overweight and am tying to drop
some of it through diet. Exercise won't work for me.
