I use a walker and will need a power operated wheelchair; I might be able to
hold out for the rest of the year.

Does anyone know of any organizations in this area that might let me take a
"supervised test drive" in my house for about 20 minutes?

My hands are getting weaker and I don't know how well I'll be able to turn
the thing. Even if it has handle bars, I'll still need to get a model that
fits the house.

Any ideas, suggestions...?

Thanks

Any of the wheelchair supply company's will arrange for an in house
demo, just ring a few and inquire. Power wheelchairs don't have
handlebars, they use a joystick, your thinking of a buggy.

Hand strength shouldn't be an issue with a powerchair. They are usually
controlled by a simple joystick. (I just use a thumb and a finger.) Other
assistive devices to steer a chair are available.

Best wishes,
