From: Hoosier on 24 Jul 2005 18:49 Had epidural in 12/04, lasted about a month, had another last of Jan. this year, lasted about 3 weeks, been struggling along since because had to have breast surgery and radiation. I got another epidural 3 days ago because pain so bad and going down legs, especially very painful on right knee which has replacement joint. I had another doctor this time and she was very careful and through in examining, , explained what she saw and what she was doing, showed me pictures (this done did under fluoroscope where other guy did not). She said she could feel a fatty tumor which possible could be rubbing against the nerve. I am already starting to feel more pain especial down to that knee. The ortho I saw is fine for routine things but not a back surgeon. In 2003 I saw a back surgeon who said nothing that needed surgery. He had his fellow do injections. The second one did last until now but was excruciating, nothing said about a tumor then. It takes a long time to get into him and am wondering what I should do now. By the way I am also going to have to have another biopsy which I am sure will lead into same situation with surgery and radiation. Any thoughts?..........End of book - sorry for length! PD
