From: Cassandra on 15 Dec 2005 17:03 I'm new here, and probably don't have the right to bring this up, but what do people come here for? I came here because I'm between doctors, and looking for information about medications that might be effective for me. Last night, I posted a bit about my situation, and got some responses -- which I appreciated, a great deal -- but it seems as though there is a problem here between certain participants that involves threats of legal action, etc, but nothing of any actual worth if this group is really about support, depression, or medications. Have I wasted my time? Reading through the messages here, I've seen some very interesting information, and some people who are obviously very generous with their time. But I've seen too many threads where this good information is lost because the flame wars start -- generally changing the focus of the thread to who has what rights to how much free speech. We're all adults here, I suspect, and we most of us have enough problems in our lives, I'd guess, not to need to create new ones. Wouldn't it be better to agree that we'll stick to the subject at hand, and not get distracted by behavior that does nothing to improve the group? Or is there something that I don't know because I'm new and haven't read ALL the older posts? (If that last is so, maybe someone should write a quick recap, so that new people can decide whether or not this place can offer what we need? I've read enough here to think it might be helpful for me. I will give it a try. But I am looking for information and advice -- NOT to be insulted by someone who has chosen to believe that verbally abusive behavior is somehow related to a "twisted sense of humor" or has some warped idea that that same behavior is somehow all right because the US has an amendment to the Constitution which states that the government -- of the US, remember -- may not create laws designed to limit freedom of speech.) I guess I'm asking if this is a serious news group about medications for depression, or if it's just a place where people come to abuse others safely and anonymously?

Well, it's also true wrt bad posters driving good posters out of usenet discussion forums like ASD-med. For the past 5 1/2 years ASD-med's legitimate participants have been viciously stalked and maliciously libeled by ranking members of the SPP Criminal Stalking Ring. See: "Look Who's Stalking Now: Psychologists Participate in Cyberstalking Ring" http://www.fireflysun.com/book/sci.psychology.psychotherapy.php "Inside the Brotherhood of the Blood: Wyatt Ehrenfels Presents the Ranking Officers of Psychology's Stalking Gang" http://www.fireflysun.com/book/sci.psychology.psychotherapy_stalker_profiles.php Most of ASD-med's most vocal participants today are all truly heinous people whom ranking members of the SPP Criminal Cyberstalking Ring recruited to assist them in cyberstalking other denizens of usenet. If you are a psychopath or a prescription drug junkie, then ASD-med is the place for you. If you aren't a psychopath or prescription drug junkie---then, you best move on--- and post your inquiries to moderated forums about AD's like Dr. Bob's Psychobabble or CrazyMed's etc.

Its an unmoderated news group, as such, anything goes, I figure.
