From: Tom on 18 Aug 2005 18:11 Thanks for the links Angela, I know I won't qualify for the assistance program. My income isn't that low, its just that I am kind of overstretched (living beyond my means) so I cannot afford an added monthly cost right now. I'd have to give up my 2005 car and I would rather not...so I'll just be hopeful for now... From: Angela S. on 19 Aug 2005 13:56 Acyclovir is dirt cheap ~ It seems to me that you continue to send reports of discomfort but unwilling to do anything about it. I really don't know what to tell you any more. From: Tom on 19 Aug 2005 20:45 I know, but I like to complain sometimes...more often then not...gives me something to do :of) I am eating better, taking alot of vitamins, and I am back on the lysine. I am sure most people living with herpes are in some pain. Its the nature of the virus. From: Angela S. on 20 Aug 2005 11:56 Actually ~ most people that have herpes simplex virus are in no pain at all. That is pretty likely that most people with genital herpes are not in pain since 90% of those infected don't know it. I guess I am in the 10% club, and that makes sense because I have always had a low pain threshold. Its not that I am in pain all the time, but I do have episodes where I am in more pain and have constant reminders that I have herpes, so I cannot forget it that easily. Maybe I will consider taking valtrex on a reg basis if this keeps up, but I want to see if I can do it naturally with vitamins and diet and boosting my immune system first. Most of my outbreak problems happen when I am sick anyway. I think that part of the problem is that I used Cortisone Cream on a bug bite around the time that the OB started so I am wondering if that boosted the OB also. Yes I admit I do complain alot, but that's normal.
