From: Poppin.. on 2 Mar 2007 19:59 you may find this interesting........ As some of you know, my daddy has been gone since 7-8-01, and momma 18 months later, so I had no other blood relatives, being an only child.. Anyway, my brother-in-law passed away last may, and it's been a struggle. However, something has come of it.... Roger, my brother-in-law, rode a motorcycle like my husband 1st had. In november, Rogers widow sold me the bike. I wanted it more for sentimental value than anything. ANYWAY. I got my licenses endorsement this week to ride his bike. And the promise I made to myself, when I got the bike, was to go to his grave before I went anywhere else, so guess where I'm heading tomorrow, kinda happy, yet............ -sigh- I sure miss him, we were really close... Anyway, just wanted to share... Huggs and positive those here. I read a lot here, just usually too "quiet" to say anything....... Connie
From: Cindy on 5 Mar 2007 13:48 How was your first trip on the bike? I so understand why you wanted the bike. It is part of him. Enjoy riding it, and I hope you feel him near by every time you do! Part of being true to my parents' love for me is to try to be someone who can grow and learn and try new things. It takes a certain amount of courage to make those moves. I had so many teachers and whatnot telling me way back when that I coundn't, that I might as well not try. Okay, I'm 49 years old, and last year I ran a half-marathon and took up the violin! =-) Happy trails, -- Daniel ( deltaechomike(a)usa.net ) -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com
