Buying home bodybuilding equipment at home
I am trying to buy some dumbells, free weights and a mat (where I can drop weights and my house floor will not be damaged). Can anyone tell me where I can find this type of stuff in Dallas, preferably used? Also, any suggestions on how I can do lower body exercises at home without buying expensive equipment would... 11 Feb 2006 23:22
**tuna warning**
Hey guys, If you think all these mercury poisoning stories are bullshit, and like a lot of lifters you eat a lot of fish and you feel OK, take a test! I woke up quickly. I've been having 2-4 cans of tuna a day for the last 7-8 years or so, given that it's a nice inexpensive, easily accessible, easily edible and... 9 Feb 2006 09:30
Triceps - what do you recommend

alternative to squats
Hi, folks. For complicated reasons, I find myself without access to a gym, a rack, or even a proper bench. That's not a problem for many of the exercies I want to do; I find I can do a lot with a pair of dumbells and a chinup bar. The one area I _do_ find I have trouble working is my legs. I would like to d... 6 Feb 2006 05:42
Hip-Belt Squat
Is this an entirely useless variation? Surely you couldn't manneuver large weight - squatting levels of weight - around with you on a hip-belt? Maybe it's okay if you're a bit of a beginner, and thus the weights are relatively light. ... 25 Jan 2006 10:06
Work Sets?
I have always done three work sets. Obviously reps vary, but I have always done three work sets, liking the pyramid simitry of putting in max effort over three sets, with the middle set feeling slightly more comfortable than the other two. (Probably because my warm up sets are not comprehensive enough). But ... 26 Jan 2006 08:34

HIIT help, please
Would this workout be good for HIIT? Wake up at 5:30 AM, stretch, warm-up walking for 2-3 minutes, then sprint for a minute (making sure I'm out of breath), walk for a minute and a half, and repeat until the timer gets to 15. Then walk for 5 minutes at a slow pace, get off the treadmill, and wait an hour t... 13 Jan 2006 15:37
