Hi all,

For the past few weekends, I've felt worse than during the week. I just
realized that it might be because I tend to stay up later and then rise
later in the mornings. So, I take my Synthroid later on those days. Could
this cause me to feel extra sluggish and foggy? I tend to get more sleep
then but I feel worse. Just wondering how time-sensitive my dosing should
be. I've decided to try to stay on the button for the next couple weeks and
see if it helps.

To recap, I was diagnosed in January, been on Synthroid since early
February. Still not totally well. Still waiting to see a new doctor.

I am not sure how exact you have to be. I was told to take mine at
the same time every day and wait 1 hour to eat after taking the
medicine. I sometimes have slept later on weekends also and take it
later but I tend to get up early on weekends for quiet time before the
kids so I take mine about the same time every day. I have been on
meds for 1 year.

Best of luck

Do you change your diet at weekends?

Hypothyroidism is a seriously debilitating condition with an insidious
onset.
Although common it frequently goes undiagnosed.

I have never noticed a difference re: thyroid meds timing over the 10+
years with a thyroid & 8 more without.

I don't even take the same dose every day. I don't notice a problem on
my "skip" day.

Rod,

I actually hadn't thought of that. On weekdays, I get up at 7 am, take the
pill, then eat a bowl of medium-fiber cereal with skim milk about an hour
later. On the weekend, I might eat something less healthy and heavier,
sometimes pancakes and bacon. All right then, I'll start eating the same
thing every morning too. Thanks for pointing that out.
