For Sale 120MHZ 80786 with 1Gig Cache (expandable to 4 gig), 100Gig RAM
installed (expands to 1KGig on the motherboard). Works great, two 1.2Mb
floppies (no hard disk, am upgrading to a 80886). First $45 takes it.

NOTE: People with pacemakers shouldn't use this machine.

Why bicker about details like that? I think the price is unreasonable,

You've got to be kidding me. I saw those at the swapmeet the other day for
$20. Throw in a Weitek 8167 and an i960 since it should have sockets for
those coprocessors on the motherboard. Also, is the bus on the thing EISA-2

It's optical... slow compared to the Asimov Time-link interface (you know, the

Well, this 786 is really giving me problemsssssssssss. The damn AI interface is
so screwy that when I reach the end of a sentence, it keeps repeating the last
letter before the punctuationnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Guess I'll have to shut down the
AI and put that darn ZuluWave headset on. It's just too taxing on the brain to
let the CPU use the other side of my brain but whaddya gonna
doooooooooooooooooo? To think that I have to go back to the headset makes me
feel like we've stopped transporting and reverted back to "automobiles"! The
thought!

I'm sorry, I've already sold my 80786. The guy was sorta weird too. Had
pointy ears--and absolutely no sense of humor (he never laughed at my
jokes [now that I mention it, my wife doesn't either]).

Anyway, guy comes right outta the blue and says he wants to buy the '786
for a friend "who collects antiques." And that he was only in town because
he's guest starring in some show or another (in fact, it's supposed to be
on today!)

So sorry, guys, he got the system. Funny how he convinced me to sell it
for two bucks and a slice of pizza too....
