From: Me on 2 Nov 2007 09:36 I need a walker. My HMO's DME company provides horrible service and can't figure out who should fix the brakes on the Nova walker that they sold me. They stopped repairing them; they just sell them. I live in Seattle and don't care about the insurance, yet. I just need some names of reputable and reliable vendors. Thanks.

Here is the warranty in a nutshell: All product frames: Lifetime Warranty Hand brake System: 5 Year Warranty (the hand brake system includes: brake housing, cable wire, brake handle, cable cover, brake shoe, brake spring) All other parts: 1 Year Warranty (seat, wheels, hand grips, tips, height adjustment knob and screw, foam backrest, seat clips, dust caps, forks, etc. Warranty service or not, just call Nova directly and see who the authorized service dealer is for your area: Nova Ortho-Med 1470 Beachey Place Carson, CA 90746 Toll Free: (800) 557-6682 Fax: (310) 352-3610 email: info(a)novaortho-med.com Web: http://www.novaortho-med.net/shop/contactus.htm If they don't have someone in you area, we have found that the VA always has a private company that they send their mobility patients to. Call and ask for the "mobility department" .(Depending on the facility, it may be handled through physical therapy). Explain you are not a VA patient, but would like to know who they send their walker repairs to. Here's the info for the Seattle area: VA Puget Sound Health Care System 1660 S. Columbian Way Seattle, WA 98108-1597 Phone: 800-329-8387 or 206-762-1010 Fax: 206-764-2224
