From: atlantic965 on 17 Dec 2005 22:01 All the partial dentures I see for the upper mouth look like 1959 Lincolns. My problem with them is the big upper thing that hits the roof of my mouth like this one: http://www.scrimpshire.com/images/Valplastpartial.jpg Are there any partial dentures for the upper mouth like this one? http://www.dentalimplants-atl.com/images/Copy_of_Partial_Denture.jpg

I chose this example just because it looked similarly underdesigned as the PL the OP linked to. I agree a posterior strap would be better in this case. From: Joel on 18 Dec 2005 16:31 Actually, the seond partial denture is like a 1949 Edsel. Basically its a lower so it will not fit the upper. Joel

Edsel's did not exist until 1956 or 57. I was trying to say that the upper partials I have tried felt like someone shoved a 1959 Lincoln : http://www.americandreamcars.com/1959continental011503.htm Up my mouth. I hate that big part that hits the roof of the mouth and makes it hard to chew and speak. I wish I could afford implants. |
