From: Bill on 8 Oct 2008 09:30 I've been away for awhile and now see that this Group has been infected w/ kooks and spammers, and I don't see nearly as many substantive discussions as we used to have. If the old crew has abandoned this group, where are you now? Bill Memphis
From: jloomis on 8 Oct 2008 09:47 I check in, and of course, have to weed through the messages to sort out the chaff...... With the economy, and the election, I would not doubt some apathy within the group especially with the added aspect of prostate cancer....... Wish you well. jloomis "Bill" <zerospam(a)midsouth.rr.com> wrote in message news:d4262baa-7d37-42b9-b889-8b5662bd9f23(a)s1g2000prg.googlegroups.com... > I've been away for awhile and now see that this Group has been > infected w/ kooks and spammers, and I don't see nearly as many > substantive discussions as we used to have. If the old crew has > abandoned this group, where are you now? > > Bill > Memphis Well, let's see. In the last few days, we've heard from the likes of Steve Jordan, I.P. Freely, Califchief, jloomis, Alan Meyer, DoubleOwSeven, Steve Kramer, El Woody, and J (who, by crossposting, brought in a few folks we don't usually hear from over in the breast cancer group) to name a few. These are all "old crew" regulars. We have had a couple of threads on colonoscopies and colon cancer, and about the usual number of kooks and spammers. AFAIK, we're all still here....somewhere. -- JerryW Please respond to group; email address is not valid 2/11/04 PSA 2.6, Suspicious DRE (age 62) 2/23/04 Biopsy: Gleason 3+4=7, T2a, left lobe 5/18/04 RRP, Path: Gleason 4+3=7, T2c, both lobes Fully continent by 9/04 PSA through 4/22/08: <0.1

There has been a lull in new members, though. We've had only two in the last month; Albert and clelancl. I expect things will pick up; either when it gets colder or when this damned election is over.
