Thank you to the few (two) asl-ers who answered the thread and voted for my
son at cinema academie.
The results finally came out yesterday.

Unfortunately, the part went to another contestant.

Kiddo leaves for Spain for holidays on August 5, to soon
leave again for Mexico to attend a friend's wedding, managing in the
meantime to fit in 'know-how' French and English videos
for a well known renovation mega company, an audition Thursday for
another play (his last play having ended this month in Montreal), and
studio voice dubbing engagements. So he does pretty well indeed and, most
of all, lives his dream each day.

He said his agent called him and was so relieved and happy that he did *not*
land the part, out of fear for his name being ruined, a movie
tending to sound as promising as its actors;-), that he even wondered
for a moment if she called them to beg them not to take him:):).

I foud odd that for almost each part, save maybe three, it was
systematically the second best that got the part. And then I thought that
maybe the producers did not want anyone unionized, OR that they actually
did the good actors a very good service;-).

Thanks again for your support: you reminded me that a few decent
human beings are left on this planet:).

Hello Chloe,

Thank you for posting the results. Missed opportunities can be a good
thing.
I'm glad he has you and his agent looking out for him.

Good night,

David

Hi Chloe,

I logged in on 22nd and saw your post and went to the site but I think
it was not there anymore.

I know very little, actually none, about art stuff and so I am
clueless how people find work in that arena.

A little update about me. I remained in CA for many reasons but
primarily for health reason after being told about the humidity issue
in summer in other states. Even in CA, places have mold. I live in
fear about my tonsil getting enlarged (swelled) and so a couple of
months ago, . I started thinking that I need to get it removed. But,
it is going to be a while to deal with it since i am moving at the end
of this year.

Anyway, I don't understand why people have to spam this group so
much.
