In my initial post I had gven a url that was to the general page, which
made it complicated. Maybe you went to that one.

But yes, they closed the votes on the 22nd. The site still was there.
It still was yesterday and I think they will leave it there a long time,
to use as free publicity and as paying advertising: lots of ads on the site.
More ways for hem o make a buck;-)
The word ote still was there the last time I checked, but it can not be
activated sicne the 21st at 23h59.

Are your tonsels swollen Or do you just fear they would get swollen? Not
sure I read you well here...

Bah, let,s not care about spams and spammers. Not worth the trouble:).
Use killfile:).
Or just skip them seing the titles or checking to see if the names sound
liek asl-ers or not...
Not like it was a first in here, after all:).
We had invasions of all kinds, through the years, and the place still runs:).
The trick is exactly to ignore them or any posted reply to them.

This being a ng of support, the way I look at t is that if it can not
offer support and if I can not offer it support nor find support in it,
I skip it. That it be a spammer post, a trolling post, or even a post by
somoene decent maybe, but where I could not find to give or take support...
(distraction and social chit chat and the likes being nice stuff and in
that, a distraction fom loneliness for those who needs that, too, which si
then fine. I figure same goes for everyone: if they ind no support in a
poa~st, ncluding mine, and can not have somethign nice to say or can not
care to say soemthign noe (eg: to a spambot:)), then people should just go
to the next post:).

After a while, youdon,t even see them anymore, so used to skimming through
the subject lines one gets:). Often, just the lenght of the line is
enough, no need to eve read t, you knwo it is spam:)

Hmm. Humidity...
Humidity will be an increasing prob in many places in North America, me
thinks.

But I wonered reading you...CA does not have houses built with
insulation and heating as a main priority, I guess...?

In some states, they are built with that in mind, and that can take care of
keeping the humidity out, and drying a place up too (ridding of the humidity).
Peraps then it might not be as bad as you think, or not in all places
anyway. I hope so!
Many places also have 'central air exchange...', i.e. the air from outsie
being 'treated' (dried to the right level, warmed or cooled to the desred
level according t season, etc).

Surely there will be a place for people like you and I somewhere down the
road.

Hope yourr tonsels get better!

I went to the later one first.

It is not now but it was ..2 times in 2 months. One at the end of may
and one started last Sat night. With the last one, I told myself that
I need to get it removed since it was obvious that it wasn't the usual
thing that was the culprit. I had a food poison form eating at the
cafeteria at work and from the vomits, my tonsil got irritated,
leading to what I believed was throat infection. I called a clinic I
knew and got a prescription. Last one was form being exposed to mold
and what not at a place that I went to check. I was there VERY
briefly, Within one hour after I got back, I started having burning
sensation in the throat an at first (as usual) I thought that I needed
to drink water since I really wasn't drinking enough that day and the
day before. Within a couple of hours, I realized that it was from
that place. It's obvious that my immune system is much stronger since
I didn't get feverish when I was there but then I wasn't there long
enough to become aware of it. That experience really scared me. I
mean..I can't see it with my naked eyes and I am vulnerable to these
things because of my rhinitis that anti histamine would not help.
After fever on Sunday afternoon, by Monday morning, I was on my way to
full recovery but that day, though i did not realize it, I was at a
place that must have some mold for a short period. The next day, I
was there a bit longer and - also, outside the building, people were
smoking , I started feeling it and I knew that that place was bad
news. For the rest of the day, my body had to fight it off.
Fortunately, by this morning (Wednesday), I am totally free of any
abnormal feel in my throat and also my head was clear, an indication
that my body wasn't fighting hard anymore.

I agree..

Yeah..

Yup..

That the beautiful part.

I am not going to make any mistake of reply to those posts.

Agreed.

Because of climate change?

New houses are fine. Once it's not that new, unless people put
conscious effort, there is enough collection of stuff that normally
would not bother other people but me. I am moving out of this house
in 6 months and so this latest experience scared me.

I have enough experience from having lived in Houston. CA is pretty
dry actually but me with my rhinitis requires controlled-environment
of no fragrance or no deodorizing, of the carpet.

It takes money to find places like that. Since I can't afford to rent
it alone, roommates have to be caring enough but most people would
worry about electric bill but I need to prevent my sinus headache
getting triggered in a few seconds if the temperature goes above my
tolerance.
>

Living alone in an apartment would allow me to control the temperature
setting; I am just concerned about the tonsils getting enlarged from
stuff ..Long time ago, when I wasn't aware of my condition, it was
trace chemicals left from household cleaning product used by
maintenance people. It was not so much that the tonsil was enlarged;
I just felt so lethargic and could not do additional things I had
wanted to do

> Hope yourr tonsels get better!

It needs to be removed as it is a liability and not an asset. I read
an article that says that it doesn't serve any useful function anymore
since we live in pretty clean environment. I mean "clean" as in not
making us sick. But, mine seems so sensitive that it gets into
"overdrive" mode and start producing antibody.. Well, that's what I
think was going on. Hmm..I jut read some articles on tonsillectomy and
I think mine is not that bad to suffer the recovery period, not yet:)
