From: Mally on 12 Jan 2007 10:19 For ten years I've had virus checkers. In all that time they have never found one virus. So what in fact am I paying for. Ok They have found a few spy cookies, but I can sort those out myself.anyway I think, perhaps , they are having me on. If they don't find virusus then what do they do for their money? I am easily taken for a ride. Mal

There are some very good free antivirus, antispyware, firewall software available. Try AVGfree antivirus, windows defender, and free zonealarm and you'll be ok without giving any of your cash away. Of course always make sure they are uptodate! Loz

I have had it for 4 or 5 years now, and will stick with it, mainly because I am too idle to make changes. ;o) It's just that they never seem to do anything, apart from take time up scanning, and updating. Every week it detects 7 viruses, and gives me no hint as to how to get rid. I thought I was paying for it to remove the damn things? Seems I'm shelling out for something that does half a job. |
