From: gobionessert on 4 Jul 2008 04:26 I tried 20mg of sodium raberprazole back in February or January. It seemed to help a little bit. Haven't taken anything since then but have just come back to the UK had my throat looked at by a Brit ENT doctor. It is my throat where I seem to have all the problems. He didn't think i should see a gastroentrologist and just leave it. He couldn't find a problem in my throat. Anyway, didnt have time before coming back to Japan to see a gastroentrologist anyway so went to my family doctor and he gave me 20mg of omeprazole and 10mg of metoclpramide and said play with it to see which is more affective. Any advice on trying out these two medications. Should I try them while relaxed in Thailand where i am now or stressed at work in a few weeks? A thai pharmacist recommended Cisapride. Any good?

Cisapride was removed from the US market (and some other countries) several years ago because it was found to be associated with a relatively high incidence of dangerous heart rhythm disturbances (prolonged Q-T syndrome). Currently, it's only available in the US for use in cats with hairballs (except in exceptional circumstances). HMc
