From: Michelle C on 7 Aug 2008 15:18 Since the infamous pineapple episode, I've been backtracking and retesting all fruits. 1/2 a grapefruit was okay if eaten with bacon and eggs, although the spike occurred at 15 minutes. Today, I tried strawberries eaten with a yellow squash lasagna. Didn't make the 15 minute test, but tested at 30 minutes. BG = 144. I'm quite sure the 15 minute test would have been higher. Guess I'll cut the quantity or give them up altogether. Sigh. I'm not too annoyed about giving them up (right now, I'm feeling too lazy to go through the testing to see how many is actually safe), but I'm annoyed that I've been eating them semi-regularly thinking they were okay and inadvertently jacking up my BG. -- Best regards, Michelle C., T2 diet & exercise BMI 21.5
