One of the main symptoms of PTSD is depression
And depression is a biochemical problem. Sometimes people need to take medication to be able to gain a healthier perspective on life. To say "smile and there will be something to smile about" is downplaying and denying those people's suffering. That might work for you, but that does not mean it will work for th... 22 Jun 2007 18:20

Smile and there will be something to smile about
I am sorry, but I find that signature immodest and offensive. It is very off putting and sarcastic and in your face and not at all pleasant. So is YMMV. I don't find anything gentle or healing about your writing at all, Nancy, but find it to be aggressive and belligerent. Pray tell what use it is and what use i... 23 Jun 2007 05:14

What to do about our group?
Recently our group seems to have lost its quiet corner identity. It would be a shame if the entire group were to be lost as a result of the efforts of a few destructive individuals. What can we do about it? Mail filters? Anon ... 27 Jun 2007 15:32
Does my sister have PTSD ?
My sister is overweight and she told me she eats too much. She went to a therapists because she was wondering if she has an [over]eating disorder. My sister told the therapists she doesn't have PTSD because she is familiar with the DSM IV criteria and has none of the symptoms. Three out of the six siblings are over... 22 Jun 2007 17:17
33 of 89 threads started by one person
This fact just dawned on me. 33 of the 89 visible thread were created by one person. Most of the responses to the 33 thread are defenses to slams or the slams themselves. I am not going to comment on whether the slams and counter slams are justified. Just wanted to point out that one person's threads and the respon... 21 Jun 2007 02:57
