Like 99% of everything having to do with health and fitness, you're
going to get opinions all over the place, each one with its
"scientific studies" backing it up.

I've heard that cardio in the morning before breakfast is best for
burning calories. Just like I've heard that that doesn't matter, that
it doesn't matter whether you do it in the morning or before
breakfast, as far as caloric expenditure is concerned.

Me personally, I've done both and haven't noticed any difference
either way. I think it's more psychological than physiological.

I do better at Cardio if I can go later, then I'll have an early breakfast,
and do cardio over an hour later.

Since I do have a life, and work most mornings, I do my Cardio first and
then eat because I don't want to do Cardio on a full stomac.

It works too, I'm just a little more sluggish..

:o)

Will~

This is probably best, IMHO, especially if the breakfast is fairly
light (but not just a protein shake, though).

I've never had problems with cardio on a full stomach -- though
naturally I won't be able to go nowhere near as fast.

Indeed. Some people swear by it, whereas others actually work better
with some fuel in the tank. It would appear, FWIW, that exercising on
an empty stomach does correlate with our evolutionary experience of
hunting first and then feasting....
