high blood pressure
Does anyone have high blood pressure with their hypothyroidism that doesn't respond to medication? It drives me and my docs crazy. I refuse to take extra meds. One time they increased the dosage and it gave me heart palpitations immediately. I tried walking daily for awhile and that helped for about 2 weeks ... 7 Oct 2008 04:11
appology
I sent this message out before but it didn't seem to go through. I appologize to everyone who got that nasty message I sent to those advertisers. I meant it to go privately to them not to be posted to everyone on this board including other groups. Again, I won't do that again and didn't mean to cause a big riff r... 7 Oct 2008 12:22
appologies to everyone
I am so sorry for posting that message apparently to all of the support groups not just ours. That wasn't my intention. I have Hashimoto's but don't think they've ever tested anything but the FT4, FT3, TSH, and Hashi antibodies. The only things that have been high were TSH (between 2.5... 3 Oct 2008 22:34
Regulating Meds and Allergies?
I'm not sure that this has anything to do with my Hashimoto's, but I'm going to ask anyway. I've been allergic to peanuts since I was about 11 years old. Even the smell of them gives me a migraine. The other day though, I was sitting in class next to someone who was eating peanut M&M's and the smell didn't bother m... 2 Oct 2008 13:49
Statins, Subclinical Hypothyroidism, Blood vessels and Thyroxine
On Monday, I found a story on the BBC. Said that statins help reduce the effective 'age' of blood vessels: "Statins 'prevent artery ageing' Drugs given to heart patients to lower cholesterol may have an additional benefit - keeping their blood vessels feeling younger. Advanced heart disease patients have... 2 Oct 2008 08:37
Low Dose Naltrexone
This site is dedicated to exploring health solutions for Graves' and Hashimoto's thyroid disease, which includes investigating alternative therapies like low-dose Naltrexone and other treatments not in the mainstream in order to help mitigate the autoimmune, not just endocrine, aspects of thyroid disease.
